User configurable LAN/WAN Port Assignment
Flexible Port Roles for Custom Network Topologies
The 7G Fuse Mobility Series offers user-configurable LAN/WAN port assignment, allowing physical WAN ports to be re-purposed as LAN interfaces whenever additional LAN connectivity is required.
This flexibility enables users to adapt the device to real-world deployment needs—without external switches or hardware changes.
In scenarios where more LAN ports are needed, users can easily convert available WAN ports into LAN ports through the 7G Fuse configuration interface.
- WAN ports can be reassigned as LAN
- Each converted port functions as an individually routed LAN interface
- No impact on existing cellular or bonded WAN connections
This feature is especially useful in compact or mobile deployments where port availability is limited.
Unlike simple port mirroring or switching, each reassigned LAN port in the 7G Fuse Mobility Series operates as an independent routed interface, offering:
- Separate IP addressing per port
- Controlled traffic flow and segmentation
- Full firewall and routing policy enforcement
This ensures enterprise-grade control even when expanding LAN capacity.
